1. PP interlocking sport floor (polypropylene) material
Characteristics analysis:
Physical properties: high strength (tensile strength 25-35MPa), good rigidity, suitable for long-term load bearing. With the addition of UV and cold-resistant additives, the weather resistance of modified PP is significantly improved, and it can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 70℃.
Durability: The abrasion-resistant surface layer is designed to withstand long-term friction, and laboratory data shows that double-layer PP construction can last up to 15 years.
Economy: the price advantage is obvious, single-layer PP flooring about 45 yuan / ㎡, double-layer about 60 yuan / ㎡, suitable for scenes with limited budget.
Environmental protection: food-grade PP material is non-toxic, recyclable, in line with ISO14001 environmental standards.

Applicable scenes:
Economical venues: community basketball courts, school playgrounds and other non-professional sports venues.
High wear-resistant demand: roller skating rinks, five-a-side soccer fields and other high-frequency use areas.
Climate adaptation: cold winter areas, need to choose to add cold additives modified PP products, to ensure that – 30 ℃ environment is not brittle.

2. TPE interlocking sports floor (thermoplastic elastomer) material
Characteristics analysis:
Dynamic performance: elastic recovery rate of 90% or more, providing excellent vertical shock absorption (impact absorption rate ≥ 35%) and lateral cushioning to reduce sports injuries.
Weatherability: The outdoor life of ordinary TPE is about 3-5 years, but it can be extended to 8 years with the addition of UV stabilizers (e.g., BASF Tinuvin® 783), and it remains flexible at temperatures as low as -40℃.
Anti-slip: Surface friction coefficient 0.52-0.65 (dry), better than PP 0.45-0.55, wet performance is better.

Applicable scenes:
Professional sports venues: basketball courts, tennis courts and other places that require high elasticity and non-slip performance.
Children’s activities: kindergarten playground, need to take into account the safety of cushioning and low temperature characteristics.
High-end commercial facilities: outdoor fitness trails, leisure plazas and other scenes that require high comfort.

Ⅳ.Weight selection

Common suspended assembled floor weight 160g/block, 200g/block, 270g/block, 340g/block and other different grams of specifications, the greater the weight of a single block, the better the durability, the higher the price. It is recommended to choose at least 180 grams for sports ground.

V. Cost optimization suggestions

Use double-layer TPE sports flooring for the core sports area and single-layer PP interlocking flooring for the peripheral channels.
Maintenance: Regular rinsing with high-pressure water gun (pressure ≤ 8MPa), to avoid chemical cleaners damage to the surface
